For this game I was given about a month from start to finish. I utilized existing Disney AS3 libraries, plus a couple OTS libraries. The game uses parallax in order for the backgrounds to move slower than the main layer, where the player controls Officer Pete. When the player stops underneath a tree to regain strength, or hits an object on the road, the Wicked King will start to get away. But since this is a kid’s game, I only allowed him to get away for a short distance. There is a HUD that shows the distance between Officer Pete and the Wicked King.
